Education is Power

What is Religious Education?

Education is the strongest tool that a Catholic can use to become an important instrument for the Lord. Learning is not something just for our children, but for adults as well. Our parish welcomes you to open your hearts and minds to learning the teachings of Christ. Knowledge can empower our hearts and minds to understand the true nature of Christ's teachings. Parish Registration

In order to attend religious classes at our parish, your family must be a registered parishioner. Please contact the parish office if you would like more information on becoming a parishioner, or if you need to change your address information.

Volunteers

Running a religious education program is an important process, and requires a lot of help from volunteers. We appreciate any help and time you can give to help us educate our parishioners. The basic requirements to becoming a Catechist include:

  • Being a practicing Catholic with a desire to share your faith.
  • If you are married, you must be married within the Catholic church.
  • Commitment to attending class every Sunday, September through May
  • The Archdiocese requires that you attend Abuse Awareness Training for Adults: Creating a Safe Environment For Our Children Workshop. To register, or for information please call Annette at 505-831-8144. Visit www.archdiosf.org and/or click on Prevention Workshops.
